SUMMARY:Benefit for the Military Order of the Purple Heart
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a Benefit for the Military Order of the Purple Heart \nAugust 5th from 5 to 9pm \nTickets $25/person \nBBQ by Northern Lights Hy-Vee \nAugust Moon Band plays from 5 to 6 \nAUGUST MOON is a three piece acoustic band. Jeanette Hill on rhythm guitar\, Donn Samuelson finger-picking lead guitar\, and Larry Bady on the stand-up double bass. We sing and play acoustic folk music with some celtic music also in the mix. Our main venues are coffee houses such as Crescent Moon Coffee\, MoJava\, Bagels and Joe\, Gratitude Bakery and the V.A. Kauffee hause. We also play at many Senior Centers in the area to do our part in community service for Lincoln and neighboring towns. We have also been featured at the PlainSong Folk Festival in Roca\, NE and the Louisville Country Music Theater in Louisville\, NE to name some others. \nThe B Street Band plays from 7 to 9 \nAdmission includes BBQ meal\,  ticket for glass of wine or Purple Heart frozen wine slushie\, ticket for prize drawing. \nFor questions and ticket information please contact\nJohn Hansen (402) 483-2778 hansenbig@windstream.net\nDeer Springs Winery (402) 327-8738 info@deerspringswinery.com \nKids 5 and under free. \nProceeds will be used by Military Order of the Purple Heart Chapter 200 to support all veterans and their families. \nThis event is open to the public.  The winery tasting room will be open and available for guests who are interested in visiting the winery but not participating in the MOPH event.

DESCRIPTION:We will be open on August 21st for Deer Springs Wine lovers to get together and watch this historical event! \nFor the first time in U.S. history\, a total solar eclipse that crosses the country from coast to coast will be visible only in America. The rare celestial spectacle in August has been dubbed “The Great American Eclipse.”\nThe moon will completely block the sun\, momentarily engulfing parts of about a dozen states in sudden darkness\, on Aug. 21\, 2017\, experts say. No one outside the continental U.S. will be able to see the eclipse\, which makes landfall on the West Coast near Salem\, Ore. and continues diagonally across the country until it hits Columbia\, S.C. \nAdmission $15 per person plus tax includes Eclipse viewing glasses\, glass of wine\, Coupon for $2 off of a bottle of our Eclipse red wine\, and free parking! \nIn addition to being the first total solar eclipse with a trajectory exclusive to the U.S. since the birth of America in 1776\, it’s also the first total eclipse of the sun that will be visible from the contiguous U.S. since 1979. \n
